About The Role

Our Line Producers oversee management of all aspects of computer animation production in collaboration with and under the line management of the Head of Production. The primary duty of the Line Producer is to support the successful running of the production, by maintaining a broad overview of all production departments.

The role provides a great opportunity to work with a talented team on an exciting production, whilst also overseeing the Production Manager and Production Coordinators. Problem solving, task delegation and a keen eye for logistics are the key skills for this role.

We are very happy to discuss flexible, hybrid and remote working options for all our vacancies. The successful candidate must be based in the UK and be able to commute to our London studio - only as often as needed, whilst we ramp up in production initially.

 

Day to Day:

  • Resource management across all production departments. Includes internal resources, conducting staff reviews in collaboration with the head of department, schedule updates and absence/holiday tracking.
  • Obtain regular feedback from the Production Manager who will maintain overview/department schedules and delivery oversight for all production departments, including the setting of production priorities and defining milestones.
  • Serve as the main point of coordination and contact between the day-to-day production team and the production's senior/management staff.
  • Be across the production as a whole as well as individual departments.
  • Manage and develop the Production Manager and Production Coordinators, overseeing their workload and providing support as and when required.
  • Motivate departmental heads/supervisors to ensure quality and stay on schedule.
  • Generate internal weekly progress reports for production team and management as well as reporting externally to clients.
  • Have control of the production budget which includes attending and contributing to internal monthly cost report meetings and signing off the reports and sending them to the client and attending external client cost report meetings as required.
  • Back up the Head of Production / Director in terms of client management and communications.
  • Lead production and dependencies meetings.
  • Communicate clearly and regularly across the production team and all production departments as required.
  • Communicate clearly, confidently and efficiently with the client including taking a lead in client meetings.
  • Proactive in planning and troubleshooting the pipeline for production.
  • Plan with the available resources to optimise the efficiency of each department, in line with the schedule and budget and raise any concerns with the Head of Production.
  • Ensure the teams are working towards the various goals and deadlines needed.
  • Oversee conclusion of production including asset and final delivery to our client.
Each of these responsibilities will be further defined by the Head of Production and the needs of the specific production.

About You

Must have:

  • Understands the importance of taking responsibility for ensuring problems are solved.
  • Puts the outcome for the studio as a whole first.
  • Can both anticipate a problem and either prevent it or limit the damage.
  • Can see past the noise.
  • Delegates responsibility effectively.
  • Having the ability to interact with Directors, CG Supervisors, Lead and Technical Artists, to determine creative and technical requirements of productions is integral to this role.
  • A solid work ethic and positive attitude in the face of challenging situations is vital.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • The ability to keep a calm head under pressure is key.
  • Experience managing your own production team.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced studio environment.
  • Knowledge of 3D Maya pipeline.
