As Lighting and Compositing Supervisor you are responsible for managing a team of wonderful visual storytellers. You’ll lead your team in defining the mood and atmosphere of our narratives, and highlight the charming details of our characters, props and environments.
You will be in charge of the lighting and compositing on a 3D animated TV series, responsible for ensuring the lighting and colour continuity between shots, as well as creating the master shots through to delivery of the final shots, to the client. You will be a strong communicator working across other departments to ensure you meet delivery deadlines. Responsible for delegating the workload across the team, as well as coaching and supporting your team, you are approachable and a decisive, supportive and collaborative leader.
This role is due to start November 2022.

Day to Day:
- Managing your team efficiently to meet the deadlines for the production
- Working closely with the Production Manager to ensure the lighting and compositing schedule is adhered to, flagging to the Production Manager in advance if there are any potential issues and finding solutions to this together
- Preparing master shots for the following episode to then get them approved by the director, art director and client
- Meeting regularly with the director and the art director to ensure creative vision is maintained, whilst remaining responsible for quality control across your team's episodes, and making sure the episodes are presented neatly and to the high standard of the production
- Provide effective constructive feedback to the teams
- Arranging daily catch ups with your team to make sure they are on track and aware of their daily tasks, and sharing notes from the client with the team via Ftrack
- Managing all aspects of your team, including development and reviews
- Communicating with leads on the team’s performance, flagging any concerns on performance and and/or welfare to the Production Manager
- Arranging tutorials/training meetings as and when required
- Collecting data about recurring issues and raising these with relevant personnel/departments
- Collaborating and planning ahead with other Lighting and Compositing Supervisors to implement a new workflow for future productions
- Effective communication and collaboration with other departments e.g. Talent Team
- Looking after R&D for episode-specific challenges to ensure problems are fully tested and approved by the director
