About The Role

The Digital Marketing Apprentice will work closely with the Marketing Coordinator to strengthen the Blue Zoo marketing team. The Digital Marketing Apprentice will have great social media management skills  and will learn to build a strong, multi-platform online presence and develop in-house as a Digital Marketing Apprentice. 

This position is open to remote working and does not need to be based in our London studio. With that in mind, face-to-face contact time with the Marketing Coordinator, the wider studio team, and teaching for the apprentice qualification will be required. Therefore, flexibility and willingness to travel to and from London on a frequent basis is a requirement for this position. 

The role is being offered on an 18 month contract, full time, and the qualification will be a Level 3 Digital Marketing Apprenticeship. The salary offered is £17,500 per annum and we anticipate for the apprentice to start in Mid-April 2021.

Day to Day:

  • Assist the Marketing Coordinator in implementing the overall marketing strategy of the studio
  • Help to implement outreach strategies to new talent
  • Working with the Marketing Coordinator to strategize and run the Blue Zoo social media channels including growing the YouTube channel
  • Write blog posts which give insight into working at the studio as well as the boundary pushing programs and exciting upcoming events
  • Uploading new work and press releases to the website
  • Support in festival and awards submissions
  • Support in writing and distributing press releases
  • Help run online events
  • Keep the company website maintained and up to date
  • Maintain online studio presence on various public websites

About You

Must Have:

  • At least grade C or 4 in GCSE Maths & English Language (can include equivalent e.g. Functional Skills Level 2 or A-Levels)
  • Prepared to commit to a 18-month digital marketing apprenticeship
  • Good communication and people skills
  • Interest in writing with attention to spelling & grammar
  • Great digital skills - especially in social media
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail

Bonus Points:

  • Interest in animation and/or kids TV
  • Experience in Adobe suite programs like Photoshop & Premiere Pro
