With responsibility for Blue Zoo's first party IP on digital platforms, we combine a user-centred, data-focused and innovative approach to ensure that projects are relevant and engaging. These include CBeebies top shows Alphablocks, Numberblocks, Colourblocks and Wonderblocks; upcoming hit, Mojo Swoptops; and a range of in-house projects.
The team runs a twelve channel YouTube MCN, clocking up 83 billion YouTube impressions through a strong combination of analytics and creative editorial.
In addition, the team has developed a strong portfolio of kids apps, totalling over 12 million downloads. They manage brand-led social media channels with a reach of 11.2m and YoY engagement growth of over 490%. We have even bigger ambitions for the future!
Our internship programme runs every summer to give an opportunity to those seeking a “foot-in-the-door” into the animation industry.
It is ideal for those who have zero professional experience yet possess entry level knowledge, such as those in their second or third year of university, who are eager to gain industry experience. These internships are also open to talented people over the age of 18, who have real passion and can provide examples of work they have created.
Being an intern means more than just ‘helping out’. Our interns will be working with Blue Zoo talent on some exciting projects, to gain valuable marketing experience with the brightest and best in the industry.
The Blue Zoo Digital Internship will give you the opportunity to develop your skills, while building direct experience in a professional environment. This will give you the chance to build your network, as well as developing a range of skills and gaining valuable industry experience.
This opportunity is for UK based applicants only and we ask that you are a commutable distance to our London Studio in Camden. This opportunity is full time and in a hybrid capacity, so you will be required to be in our studio at least three days per week.
To be considered, candidates will have no previous industry experience - this includes any previous internship and paid experience. If you’ve done voluntary work experience, please state this clearly in your CV so we don’t discount your application.
Each internship will be paid the London Living Wage of £555 a week.

This Social Media Intern role has been tailored to support those who are looking to learn and develop skills in marketing, working towards growing their career in Marketing. Humanities, Media Studies, Communications or Marketing students and graduates, with interest in a digital marketing career, would benefit greatly from this opportunity.
As part of the Blue Zoo Digital team, the Social Media Intern will learn about and assist in managing multiple social media accounts across various platforms, creating engaging content, fostering community engagement, and staying up-to-date with social media trends.
Day to Day:
- Assist the team to plan, create, and schedule compelling content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to text, images, videos, and stories.
- Assist with filming and editing videos to produce high-quality and engaging content.
- Utilise basic Photoshop and image design skills to create visually appealing graphics and designs.
- Understand how to monitor social media channels for User Generated Content (UGC) and leverage it to enhance brand presence.
- Research social media trends, tools and best practices.
- Learn about Meta Business Suite and Hootsuite for scheduling and analysing social media performance.
- Assist in rolling out influencer marketing strategies.
