About The Role

Our 3D Shot Build and Finalising Artist will work alongside our CG Supervisor, Light & Comp Supervisor and Layout Team to prepare sequences for animation, FX and Lighting teams, communicating with relevant teams to fix errors that may occur in publishing or rendering.

Day to Day

  • Working with the  CG Supervisor to create scene files and building shots for the animation department, ensuring all elements of the scene are working correctly within the required pipeline setup 
  • Shot cleanup and publishing the layout breakout of Maya files, correcting any unsynced assets
  • Checking renders and troubleshooting any errors
  • Finalising shots, ensuring all elements and assets are correct and ready in the Unreal files for the Lighting and Compositing team 
  • Prepare sequences for Lighting and FX teams and communicate with Asset and Animation teams if fixes need to be implemented on elements in shots

About You

Must Have:

  • Good knowledge of Maya Some experience of working with Unreal pipelines
  • Knowledge of CG Animation techniques & of CG pipeline
  • Can manage their time and work independently, but also work well in a team
  • Self-motivated and able to work calmly under pressure, responding well to feedback
  • Very strong communication skills
 

Bonus Points:

  • A passion for cinematography or video games
  • Experience with using Shotgrid  
  • Layout experience
  • Demonstrable artistic skills including a strong sense of composition and perspective, a good understanding of cinematography, pacing, timing and general filmmaking concepts
